From March 4 to 7, 2025, VITIB took part in an official mission in San Diego, alongside the President of the Economic, Social, Environmental and Cultural Council of Côte d’Ivoire (CESEC), H.E. Dr. Eugène Aka AOUÉLÉ, and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with the aim of strengthening cooperation between Côte d’Ivoire and the United States in the fields of innovation, research, and technological entrepreneurship. This mission focused on:
Strengthening academic and entrepreneurial partnerships
Enhancing the international recognition of Ivorian talent
Promoting VITIB as a regional technology hub

During this mission, several key moments underscored Côte d’Ivoire’s commitment to innovation. A strategic partnership was established between San Diego State University and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with active involvement from VITIB. This partnership aims to develop academic exchanges, foster collaborative research, and encourage skills transfer.
VITIB also showcased the wide range of investment opportunities offered by the Grand-Bassam Technological Free Zone, attracting strong interest from several American innovation stakeholders. In addition, promising discussions were initiated around the creation of technology innovation centers of excellence, positioning Côte d’Ivoire as a key player in Africa’s digital transformation.
